Auditions for the 2026 Season
Auditions for the 2026 productions of The Stephen Foster Story & Annie will take place in-person in Bardstown OR via video submission!
Children auditioning for ANNIE: 6 Orphans, 6 Orphan Ensemble, role of Annie, 6 Boys click HERE. You may audition in person on Feb 21 at 12:30 PM or submit online by following instructions in the link.

| To request an appointment for local Bardstown auditions: Please email: StephenFosterStoryAuditions@gmail.com with SUBJECT: LOCAL AUDITION TIME. *Adult and College Performers will be seen from 10:00am until 12:00pm EST. *Children (ages 6-15) will be seen from 12:30pm until 2:00pm EST. *Teenagers interested in ensemble positions in The Stephen Foster Story may only audition via video.. There are no roles available in Annie for teens above 15. Audition times will be assigned and confirmed on a first come, first served basis. |

| We will be accepting video auditions for various roles in our season now through March 15, 2026. You may submit via our casting breakdown on Actors’ Access or you can find our season’s casting breakdown and character audition materials, and you can submit your video HERE. Please look at the character you feel suits your abilities best. There are filming and submissions instructions in each show folder. All submissions will be done through the online form listed in the submission instructions. Follow the link above for access. Please refrain from submitting via e-mail or for more than one character per show. |
| What Do I need to Prepare? |
| For in-person auditions, please prepare two contrasting songs (16 bar cuts) and a 30–60 second monologue. You may also prepare character-specific materials for one of our shows which can be found HERE. You may be asked to read sides from the shows in our season – which will be provided at the audition. A piano accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. A short dance call will be held after each audition group, please bring appropriate attire to change into. |
| What about Callbacks and Offers? |
| If needed, additional information will be requested via e-mail. There are no scheduled callback dates. Once you have submitted your video or auditioned in- person, you are in full consideration for the season and have nothing left to do! Our season begins rehearsal on or about May 27 the and we hope to have all offers out by the end of April. |
